The Chinese CHIVA Standardized Terminology (2026 Edition) will be officially launched in Hong Kong on September 19, 2026. Primarily published by the Asian Academy of Phlebology, this standard was jointly organized and formulated by the Global CHIVA Program and Dr. Smile Medical Group, supported by Inteleos through international collaboration and joint publication.

During the formulation of the terminology, Professor Claude Franceschi, founder of CHIVA, together with the majority of members from the Academic Advisory Committee of the Asian Academy of Phlebology, conducted thorough reviews and offered expert guidance. During the release ceremony, Dr. Du Xin, on behalf of the CHIVA Chinese Terminology Working Group, will introduce the development process, major deliberation points, and core principles guiding the final version.

This milestone goes beyond standardizing nomenclature; it establishes a clear, precise, and continuously updated professional linguistic system for CHIVA in the Chinese language domain, serving as a foundation for teaching, clinical practice, scholarly research, and international collaboration.
